Want to purchase a home in Ericsson? Call your Minnesota real estate team, The Kris Lindahl Team of Kris Lindahl Real Estate (612) 315-9223. Your neighborhood Ericsson REALTORS® and agents are here to help with the Twin Cities housing market.

Ericsson Real Estate Market

Most of Ericsson’s homes were built in 1939 or earlier so prominent architectural styles include many early 1900s bungalows in the real estate market. With the addition of light rail to the neighborhood folks expect to start seeing more contemporary styling with the addition of apartments and condos.

Ericsson Neighborhood Amenities

Getting to downtown shopping and amenities is a snap when you live in the Ericsson neighborhood, with light rail available at the 46th Street Station to take you there. Tucked into the northwest corner of the neighborhood you’ll find Colossal Café, a local favorite eatery open for breakfast and lunch. A Baker’s Wife Pastry Shop is hard to resist on those lazy weekend mornings when you want something yummy and, nearby you’ll find Angry Catfish Bicycle and Coffee Bar

The most popular recreational amenity in the Ericsson neighborhood is Lake Hiawatha, located at E 44th Street and S 28th Avenue. The lake and adjoining park and golf course take up half the neighborhood.

In fact, the park covers 241 acres in total (the lake accounts for 53 acres). Once swampland, the city spent considerable time and resources to develop it into what it is today. Here, you can spend time at the Lake Hiawatha Recreation Center, 8 acres of playground, tennis courts, fields and a beach. Take to the links on the west side of the lake at the 18-hole golf course.

Ericsson Community Schools

Ericsson is home to one public school, Northrop Elementary School, serving 400-plus community students in grades Pre-K through 5. Also known as Northrop Urban Environmental Learning Center, the school offers opportunities for children to explore nature in the city. In 2014, Northrop was designated as a Reward School, one of only three in the school district.
