The summer is warm and a dip in the pool is just what you need. Taking the kids to the pool is always a good time, anyway. Here are some of the top public pools you can enjoy near Minneapolis.

Edinborough Park - 7700 York Avenue South, Edina

Found in Edina, you can enjoy this junior-Olympic size pool at the one-acre adventure park. It has six lanes for lap swimming and plenty of area for swimming families, as well. You can also enjoy the fitness gym here, along with the three-lane track for jogging and walking.

Apple Valley Family Aquatic Center - 14421 Johnny Cake Ridge Road, Apple Valley

This is one of the largest aquatic centers in the area. They have a capacity of 1,900 and plenty of fun for everybody to enjoy. The leisure pool has zero depth entry and the Lazy River is always a popular choice. They even have slides for all to enjoy and sand volleyball courts if you prefer some fun on land.

Anoka Aquatic Center - 1551 7th Avenue, Anoka

A new aquatic center just opened, the Anoka Aquatic Center provides plenty of fun. They have a 200-foot waterslide, a spray area, a one-meter diving board and many other water slides. The younger children can enjoy the area with zero-depth and there's plenty of shade here, as well.

Brooklyn Center Community Center Pool & Waterslide - 6301 Shingle Creek Parkway, Brooklyn Center

A pool very affordable for all, the Brooklyn Center Pool is an Olympic size pool with a 150-foot water slide. They also have a zero depth entry wading pool and diving boards. You can enjoy the many features of the pool area and have plenty of fun as a family here.
