With the colder weather here, people are more interested in spending time indoors. The winter blues are hard to beat but Minneapolis offers a ton of great options to keep you warm and allow you to have fun despite the weather.

In downtown Minneapolis are the skyways that are a great way to avoid going outdoors. It’s the largest indoor system in the world with shopping, offices, restaurants and more. Here is a look at some of the top spots for lunch in the skyway.

Dave’s Downtown – 900 2nd Avenue South, Suite #230

The perfect lunch spot at the skyway is Dave’s Downtown, serving up healthy options on a budget. You can get wraps and sandwiches for under $7. They offer daily specials on sandwiches, pastas and off the grill items. You can get a large salad at $7 as well. It’s a great option for lunch in the skyway.

Kabobs Indian Grill – 555 Nicollet Mall

Inside the skyway you can enjoy some delicious Indian cuisine at Kabobs Indian Grill. It’s like an Indian fast food but with amazing qualities and flavors. You’ll find a variety of rice, great curry, tandoori chicken and fresh baked Naan. It’s an excellent option for lunch and they offer affordable meals.

Andrea Pizza – 811 LaSalle Avenue or 330 South 2nd Avenue

Two options for some a great pizza lunch is at the Highland Court Building and the Towle Building. Andrea Pizza makes fresh pies that make you feel like you’re in Italy. The flavors are amazing, the staff is great and the prices are cheap. You’ll pay $6 for a slice of pizza, a Caesar salad and a drink. The vibe of the eatery is very much like a cool street corner in New York.
