If you’re in the market for a new construction home in Minneapolis you may already have an idea of where to look. It’s certainly no secret that certain areas of town are more likely to feature new construction designs.
However, there are some options that are less well known. In fact, two particular areas exist pretty much under the radar, but are great places to start your home search.
The Longfellow neighborhood, in particular, leads homebuyers to Southeast Minneapolis, and plentiful green space. Options include some craftsman-style homes, with family-friendly floor plans priced in the high $400,000s. The homes are designed to compliment some of the older homes and home styles already in the area.
In comparison, the laid-back Southwest neighborhood is a good place to search out Colonial-style and traditional homes, also with some new construction homes available. The affluent area features several new homes where older residences once stood. The large, sprawling homes sometimes command prices well upwards of $1 million in the Southwest neighborhood.
