You know that the condo has come of age when the most expensive home in Minneapolis is a penthouse. Listed at $8 million, it is currently the priciest home in the city.
1. Phoenix on the River
Located in the Phoenix on the River community in the Marcy Holmes neighborhood, this home is absolutely stunning with breathtaking views.
A 2-story penthouse, it features an elevator, eight parking spots and seven private terraces and balconies. Inside you’ll find three bedrooms and three full bathrooms and two partial bathrooms in 11,777 square feet of living space.
The aforementioned view is of the Mississippi River and the city skyline.
Phoenix on the River is situated along Main Street and the riverfront. The building is so architecturally distinctive you can’t miss it.
2. Lowry Hill
The second most expensive home in Minneapolis right now is the award-winning Donaldson House, a historic gem. From top-to-bottom the home has been lovingly restored with stained glass, original woodwork, hardwood floors and more. Aside from the 12,195 square foot main house, there is a carriage house, accessible through a tunnel.
This Arts and Crafts-style mansion is located in the Lowry Hill neighborhood and is offered at $4.5 million.
3. Calhoun Isles
Not quite as large as the previous two homes, this Lake of the Isles Tudor estate features four bedrooms and four bathrooms in 8,460 square feet of living space.Like the Donaldson House, however, it too has been restored.
This Kenwood-neighborhood home offers views of the lake, park-like grounds and it sits on almost one quarter of an acre but is being sold with an adjoining parcel for a total of .70 acres. This home is offered at $4.495 million.
