About Fogo De Chao

Fogo De Chao is a Brazilian restaurant that started in 1979 by sharing the “gaucho” way of preparing meat all the way from Porto Alegre, Brazil. Gaucho chefs grill their 16 cuts of meat and offer continuous tableside service. You will leave full and satisfied between the endless servings of meat, salad and sides. You’ll get to try authentic Brazilian side dishes, a gourmet salad bar, your choice of 16 cuts of meat and an award-winning wine list.

The concept is based on centuries –old traditions known as churrasco in which the chef roasts meats over pits of open fire. The Portuguese tradition of serving continuous service is called “espeto corrido” and is the way it happens here. You’ll have control over the pace of the meal by flipping a two-sided disk between red and green.

How does it work?

When you arrive, you’ll sit down and enjoy a drink while your server explains the process. You’ll get to visit the gourmet salad and sides bar first. You’ll be able to choose from over 30 items like fresh cut vegetables and cured meats.

Then, turn your card green side up to show your server that you’re ready for gaucho chefs to give you tableside service. Choose from 16 cuts of fire roasted meats that will be sliced and served at your table by the chefs.

When you’re full, turn it to the red side to show that you are done. At the end of the meal, enjoy dessert and of course you’ll have cocktails and wine to enjoy throughout the meal.
