Pork enthusiasts looking for a hearty meat menu in Minneapolis look no further. The Butcher & the Boar will leave you satisfied while still begging for more at the same time.

Polished reputation

After seeing all the awards The Butcher & the Boar have won throughout the years, who wouldn't want to try it out? Within the past five years, they have been semifinalists for the nationally prestigious James Beard Foundation award.

Energetic ambience

As you walk in to The Butcher & the Boar, you are greeted with friendly staff. The place is always busy, and with the beer garden's assortment of beers and bourbon/whiskey flights, it's easy to see why.  As you wait for your food, gaze into the open kitchen and see the hard work and enthusiasm that is put into making your food.

Did someone say sausage? With Minneapolis large population of German ancestry, expect nothing but the best! Pork lovers will enjoy the Berkshire spare ribs marinated in a rum chili glaze.

For those not that into sausage (how dare you!), try the wood grilled oysters with a smoky, creamy sauce or lobster grilled cheese for a change of pace. No matter what you order, the portions are big and justify the price. There may even be leftovers for tomorrow’s lunch!

The Butcher & the Boar is not the quietest place for a formal event, but that certainly validates how awesome of a restaurant it is. The Butcher & the Boar is certainly is a must do any night of the week for a group of friends or going alone to eat, drink, and mingle. Reservations are recommended for large groups though.

It has a weird name, but it has great food. You will not regret checking this restaurant out.
