Let’s face it, November, for many of us, is when life kicks into high gear. With four major holidays coming up we’re pulled in so many different directions it’s amazing we even remember we have kids, let alone feed them!
Have no fear; the Kris Lindahl Team has put together a handy list of places in Minneapolis where the family can dine that won’t break your budget because at these eateries, kids eat free!
Baja Sol Tortilla Grill
Baja Sol is known for their amazing seasonal salsas (this month’s is cranberry salsa!) and kids 10 and under eat free here on Sundays with the purchase of an adult entrée. Most kids will choose a quesadilla at Mexican restaurants and Baja Sol offers them a “kidsadilla” but they can also enjoy burritos, tacos, nachos or chicken strips.
Baja Sol is located downtown at 40 S. 7th St. Ste. 203 (Skyway level) and at the Quarry in NE Minneapolis at 1730 New Brighton Blvd.
On Tuesdays from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. Denny’s in Minneapolis offers kids a freebie. In fact, parents can feed two kids for free with each adult meal purchased. On the kids menu you’ll find hot dogs, cheeseburger, chicken nuggets, a grilled cheese sandwich and pizza.
Find Denny’s at 2700 E Lake St. in Minneapolis.
Broder’s Pasta Bar
Monday is the day to visit Broder’s Pasta Bar. That’s when each adult entrée purchased gets the parents a free kids’ meal. The little ones can choose from spaghetti, tortellini (with choice of six sauces) and, natch, pizza. Broder’s is located at 5000 Penn Avenue S. in Minneapolis.
The Green Mill chain of restaurants got its start in the Twin Cities with the original eatery opening for business in St. Paul in 1935. We have our very own in Minneapolis and on Tuesdays from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. they treat kids to a free meal. Here they can enjoy pizza, pasta, chicken tenders, cheeseburger or a chicken or cheese quesadilla.
The Green Mill is located Uptown at 2626 Hennepin Ave.
Perkins Family Restaurant & Bakery
You know if a restaurant has the word “family” in it they’re going to enjoy catering to the wee ones. And Perkins does just that every Tuesday. Since breakfast is served all day the little darlings can dine on anything from Perky Bear Pancakes to a grilled cheese sandwich. Free!
You’ll find Perkins at 901 27th Ave S. in Minneapolis. Reach them by phone at 612-339-6865.
