Named for its winding streets, popular Tangletown is one of Minneapolis’ most sought after neighborhoods. This mature neighborhood offers the benefit of sheltering tree-line streets and vintage homes, surrounded by a rich variety of locally owned shops and entertaining restaurants. Perhaps the most visible landmark of the neighborhood, though, is the Washburn Park Water Tower, marking the highest point in the entire community.
Spacious single-family homes dot the Tangletown neighborhood, highlighted by a number of residences dating back to the early 1910s to 1920s. With classic design elements, expect to find such features as original hardwood flooring, plus large lots and charming floor plans that provide an undeniable cozy ambiance without sacrificing too much living space. Many of the homes in Tanglewood have also been recently remodeled or updated to reflect more modern features and finishes, but after just one stroll through the neighborhood, it still hasn't lost an ounce of its charm and character over the years.
Residents enjoy walking or biking the Minnehaha Creek trails, or playing in the abundant green space that mark this family-friendly community. Fuller Park includes a year-round rec center, complete with a wading pool, basketball court and new playground. Meanwhile, transportation is a snap with the numerous bike lanes and bike trails that wind throughout the neighborhood.
