Although the summer season is winding down quickly, there’s still plenty to see and explore in Minneapolis. So before back-to-school season arrives and the inevitable break in the warm weather hits, we uncovered three things you need to do here in the great city of Minneapolis before the summer season ends. Take a look below...
The first half of August is packed with entertainment options and the Minnesota Fringe Festival is a great way to see it all. The festival runs for eleven days in Minneapolis, with dozens of different shows and hundreds of performances planned throughout the city.
Float the Mississippi River
Next up, take a private or public cruise along the Mississippi River. The Minneapolis Queen takes off from Bohemian Flats Park, taking riders along a tour of historic Downtown Minneapolis. Enjoy the views with your choice of indoor seating or standing along the outdoor observation deck.
Enjoy a Ballgame at Target Field
Finally, head out to Target Field and make some memories as the Twins take the field. We know—2016 really hasn't been the Twins year on the field; in fact, it's been a pretty dreadful season all the way around. But with that comes cheaper tickets and there are still plenty of upcoming home games before baseball season ends and football season beings. And while you’re at the stadium, be sure to take in a tour. The team offers public tours on certain game days and non-game days throughout the season and despite the product on the field not being where we'd like, Target Field is still one of the best venues in all of baseball!
