Spring is around the corner, which means it’s almost time to get outside and clean up your lawn after yet another cold winter and snowy season.
Along with feeling better about your home and boosting its curb appeal, a beautiful landscape can also bump up you’re home’s value when it’s time to sell, or at the very least attract more buyers whenever you decide to put it on the market. So if you’re looking for ways to improve your home’s landscaping this summer but are working with a tight budget, here are a few quick tips for giving your front yard an affordable make-over:
Check out Craigslist and other classified ad websites
Regardless of whether you’re looking for planters, gardening equipment, or other landscaping supplies, Craigslist and countless other classified ad websites are a great way to buy used equipment on the cheap. Or if you have usable equipment of your own that you’d like to sell before you upgrade, why not toss up a couple ads of your own to bring down the cost of new supplies?
Regularly pulls weeds
If you’re looking to do least amount of work possible while also maximizing your lawn’s potential, simply focus on weeding. It doesn’t cost you anything but time and a little effort, and weeding out all those weeds will absolutely improve your yard’s visual appeal, even if that’s all you do.
Get out the power washer
Power washing any fences, patios, the garage, and even the exterior of your home will give everything a fresh look and feel, and in most cases, people are shocked at how much brighter it can make whatever it is you power washed. And if you don’t have a power washer, you should be able to rent one at a local hardware or home improvement store for cheap.
