Anne Sullivan Communication Center, located in Minneapolis’ Longfellow neighborhood, serves nearly 650 students in grades Pre-K through 8. The school employs 59 full-time teachers, giving it a student-teacher ratio of 11:1 ― the fourth best ratio among the district’s elementary schools.

School ratings site SchoolDigger.com awards Anne Sullivan Communication Center zero stars out of five and GreatSchools.org gives it two out of a possible 10 stars.

In 2015, Anne Sullivan ranked 753rd of 806 public elementary schools in the state. The middle school ranked 462 out of 501 Minnesota middle schools.

About 34.4 percent of Anne Sullivan’s eighth graders met or exceeded the standard on the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment-III (MCA-III) math exams, while the state’s average was 57.8.

More than 26 percent of the school’s eighth graders met the standard on the exam's reading portion. The state’s average is 56 percent.
